Kulturens hus, in the middle of Lulea center, is a popular meeting place filled with life and desire. We are Lulea's cultural hub, creative engine and an obvious place for networking and meetings of both personal and professional nature. Here you will find concert halls, fine conference facilities, a city library, an art gallery, a tourist office, a restaurant and a cafe. On the top floor of the house is also the tenant Norrbottensmusiken.
Kulturens hus is one of Norrbotten's most visited places. We have as many visitors as, for example, Kolmarden, ie 500,000 people per year. With our location by Lulea's northern harbor, you can enjoy a fantastic view and beautiful summer nights with midnight sun.
Kulturens hus is 14,000 square meters large and designed by Tirsen & Aili Arkitekter with Hans Tirsen as the responsible architect. The first sod was taken in April 2005 and the house was opened on January 3, 2007 to the great joy of the people of Lulea. Lulea municipality is the principal for our nice house and the culture and leisure administration is responsible for the house's contents. |
