The Japan Radiological Society was established in 1950 and has been the leading official society in the field of radiological science.
The main aim of the society is to promote radiological science in collaboration with various related societies.
JRS is also interested in the international cooperation for the progress of radiological science. Currently JRS has over 7,500 members, including radiologists, physicists, and some researchers.
Two hundred and fifty delegates are elected by whole members, and 16 members of the board of directors are elected from among the delegates.
