SMiRT conferences are the premier international forum to discuss new developments in structural mechanics in reactor technology, as they apply to nuclear fission, fusion or any emerging new reactor designs and technologies. It is a unique platform that brings together participants from academia, industry, and research institutions worldwide to share knowledge, challenge ideas, and foster collaboration. SMiRT29 aims to build on the rich legacy while introducing new ideas. In particular, we propose a novel matrix format for organization of conference contributions in divisions, to allow for a more streamlined and smooth organization of technical sessions and presentations.
