We are pleased to announce the X INTERNATIONAL OLIVE SYMPOSIUM, which will take place in Palermo, Italy, from 4 to 8 October 2027. The symposium is organized under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and will be convened by Dr Tiziano Caruso, Dr Francesco Paolo Marra, and Dr Riccardo Lo Bianco (University of Palermo). The event is held within the framework of the ISHS Division Temperate Tree Fruits and Working Group Olive Culture, with the support of ISHS Division Plant Genetic Resources, Breeding and Biotechnology. This international event will bring together scientists, researchers, growers, industry representatives, and professionals from around the world to share recent advances in olive research and cultivation. The symposium will provide a multidisciplinary platform to discuss progress across the olive value chain, including genetic resources and breeding, orchard management, plant physiology, pest and disease control, mechanization, precision agriculture, and olive oil quality.
