| The 4th Global CemCCUS Conference on carbon capture in the cement industry will take place in Lyon, France on 2-3 June 2027, with a confirmed field trip to Vicat's Montalieu cement plant and carbon capture project on 4 June. The Radisson Blu Hotel is a 4-star hotel occupying the upper floors of the iconic Part-Dieu Tower (known locally as "Le Crayon").
The 4th Global CemCCUS Conference and Exhibition will cover developments and the state-of-the-art in carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration for the cement and lime industries. Carbon capture from cement and lime production and its subsequent use or sequestration will be unavoidable in a world which requires net-zero-carbon emissions by 2050. Once cement and lime producers have done everything else that they can to reduce their CO2 emissions - measures that are covered in the sister-conferences Global CemFuels, Global Slag and Global FutureCem - then they will be obliged to capture the rest, and either repurpose it, or sequester it.
